At 5' 1" in length, this “Baby” grand piano was introduced in the 1930’s and features the powerful and rich tone of a much larger piano. Small enough to fit nicely into almost any room, this piano is handcrafted using the same materials and techniques that go into making Steinway concert grand pianos.
The piano has been fully rebuilt using all NEW Genuine Steinway parts. This includes all of the wippens, Steinway hammers, shanks, flanges, and dampers.

This Model S was designed by American industrial designer and architect Walter Dorwin Teague. This was the first piano that Steinway commissioned Walter Teague to design.
Fantastic streamline Steinway Model S baby grand piano. This model was the most popular of two models that Teaque designed for Steinway in 1938. Every detail is an ode to streamline modern design. The finish is hand rubbed satin black lacquer. It is an excellent piano both inside and out.
This elegant art deco case was created for Steinway in the late 1930s by renowned industrial designer Walter Dorwin Teague. Only a small number of these unusual pianos were built and they are extremely rare today.
